God@Work

Most People spend at least 40 hours a week or more at work!
The Workplace is a mission field that God has placed Christians in to extend His Kingdom!
Paul says that ‘God sets specific people in specific times and places for His purpose.’
Now, just imagine if every Christian in the UK took seriously the fact that they are missionaries in their workplace!
Imagine if Christians who work in the same place met together to pray for their colleagues?
What if Christians who work in the same place came together as church in their sphere of work?
Since Jan 2009 we have felt the Spirit moving us forward in encouraging saints to plant simple churches @ work!
So far we have seen:
- A simplechurch formed with teachers in a primary school (Nottingham)
- A simplechurch forming in a department store in a city centre
We are hoping that many more Christians partner in this vision to see the workplace become an extension of the Kingdom of God!

As a member and co-leader of a simple church I’m intrigued by this post…. and challenged, quite frankly! Thanks for stirring up my spiritual senses and my natural curiosity.
Our church has been meeting for about 3 years now, but to be honest I don’t think I’ve ever thought of translating that effort into the workplace in a serious way….
Thanks! I’ll pray about it!

Hey,
Thanks for your comment. Keep me informed of your adventures in planting churches in the workplace!
Be encouraged in your work of seeing the gospel preached and churches multiplying in Barbados
Grace and Peace
